I made Bánh mì with Yen this weekend and I was surprised by how good it turned out and how easy it is to make! I realized that I love the food making process because I enjoy discovering the mystique behind what makes my favorite foods taste the way it does. This is especially true for items I eat frequently at restaurants. For example, I've always wondered what is the secret behind a good Vietnamese sandwich. I think it's the cilantro that gives it that wonderful aroma and makes the sandwich taste so fresh and earthy.
